Job summary

Boston Medical Center Health Systems in Boston is seeking a Registered Nurse for inpatient behavioral health on a per diem schedule. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families.

The role demands MA RN licensure, a Diploma/ASN/BSN with BSN possible within four years, and at least one year in inpatient behavioral health. BLS and EHR experience are preferred, with strong communication and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• 1+ years of inpatient behavioral health RN experience.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience with electronic health records preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in inpatient behavioral health, including assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
