Boston Medical Center Health Systems in Boston is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Psychiatric unit (5 West). You will provide comprehensive nursing care, assess, plan, intervene, and educate patients and families in a challenging behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree (Diploma/ASN/BSN) preferred; BSN encouraged within 4 years.
• Minimum 1 year inpatient behavioral health RN experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (ACLS within 90 days).
• NIHSS certificate preferred or obtained during orientation.
• Telemetry and EHR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in inpatient psychiatry including assessment, planning, intervention and education of patients.
• Communicate with care teams, patients and families effectively.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care with inter-professional staff.
• Update and manage patient records accurately.
• Enter and interpret computerized data and information.
• Follow SEMC nursing guidelines and policies.
• Assist leadership with quality improvement projects.
