Boston Medical Center Health Systems Brighton is seeking a Registered Nurse for the inpatient behavioral health unit. Per Diem schedule, delivering care, assessments, and education to patients and families, coordinating with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires MA RN licensure, a nursing degree (Diploma/ASN/BSN), BLS, and experience in behavioral health. Proficiency with electronic health records and strong communication are essential; physical stamina is also needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Massachusetts
• Nursing degree: Diploma/ASN/BSN (preferred), BSN within 4 years
• 1+ years of Inpatient Behavioral Health RN experience
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience with electronic health records preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities; Basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the inpatient behavioral health setting, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
