Job summary

Boston Medical Center - Brighton is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care in the inpatient behavioral health unit. You will assess, plan, intervene, and educate patients while coordinating with a diverse healthcare team and families on patient-centered care.

This role offers a 24-hour-per-week schedule (days, 7a–7:30p) on-site at 5 West, with opportunities for professional development, ongoing training, and growth within a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN; BSN preferred; ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• 1+ years inpatient Behavioral Health RN experience.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with electronic health records preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the inpatient behavioral health setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by the nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
