Job summary

Boston Medical Center in Brighton is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5 West inpatient behavioral health unit. The role is 24 hours per week, daytime hours from 7:00 a.m.

to 7:30 p.m., with responsibilities across patient assessment, planning, intervention, and education. The RN will collaborate with the care team, document in the electronic health record, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); BSN within 4 years possible.
• 1+ years of Inpatient Behavioral Health RN experience.
• Certification in basic life support (BLS).
• Experience with electronic health record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in inpatient behavioral health setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education.
• Communicate with health care team, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities with inter-professional colleagues.
