Job summary

Boston Medical Center - Brighton is seeking a Registered Nurse for the inpatient psychiatric unit (5 West). This role offers a 24-hour per week schedule with every third weekend, 7:00 am–7:30 pm, and a supportive environment focused on training and professional growth.

Responsibilities include delivering nursing care, communicating with the care team and families, coordinating patient care, updating records, and interpreting data.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree (Diploma/ASN or BSN) preferred.
• Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• Telemetry and EHR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver psychiatric inpatient nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records and interpret computerized data.
• Support quality improvement projects and adherence to policies.
