Job summary

Boston Medical Center Brighton is seeking a Registered Nurse for the inpatient behavioral health unit on West. The role offers 24 hours per week with night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am.

Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive nursing care, collaborating with the care team, maintaining patient records, and supporting quality improvement initiatives. Massachusetts RN license and BLS are required; 1+ year BH RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
• 1+ years of Inpatient Behavioral Health RN experience
• Certification in basic life support (BLS)
• Experience with electronic health record preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the inpatient behavioral health setting, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and their families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization
• Assist the leadership team in quality improvement projects
