Job summary

Boston Medical Center - Brighton is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide inpatient behavioral health care on the 7 West unit. The role covers 24-hour nights, 7:00pm–7:30am, with direct patient care, documentation, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN; BSN preferred.
• 1+ year of inpatient behavioral health RN experience.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in inpatient behavioral health, including assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data.
• Follow guidelines and policies of BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
