Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) Brighton is seeking a Registered Nurse for the inpatient behavioral health unit on a per diem schedule. The RN will deliver comprehensive nursing care, coordinate with the care team, and support patients and families in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires MA RN licensure, 1+ year of inpatient behavioral health experience, BLS certification, and familiarity with electronic health records. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in MA.
• 1+ year of inpatient behavioral health RN experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with electronic health records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the inpatient behavioral health setting, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team in quality improvement projects.
