Job summary

ENGEL Machinery North America is seeking a Service Technician to perform field service at customer sites across North America. You will install and service equipment, provide customer training, and support on-site operations as needed.

The role requires deep knowledge of injection molding equipment, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal back-office support. Extensive travel and a valid passport are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in injection molding troubleshooting or as a Field Service Technician/Engineer.
• Knowledge of blueprints and schematics for electrical/electronic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Experience with injection molding machines and ability to train customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs injection molding machines and robots, including tests and inspections across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic or software components.
• Perform safety checks on equipment and ensure proper operation.
• Educate customers on equipment operation and train users.
• Coordinate parts replacements and service with customers and internal teams.
• Instruct other technicians and customer operators on maintenance and safety of injection molding systems.
• Communicate with Central Service/Manufacturing/Parts Center to resolve field issues.
• Provide written reports to the Service Manager on a regular basis.
