Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to oversee mold sampling and qualification services for new, replacement, or rebuilt tools. You will optimize molding processes to meet dimensional limits within cycle times and create standardized Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding.

You will train plant personnel and collaborate with quality teams to improve processes. The role requires a mechanical or electrical engineering background and at least five years in plastics packaging, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to understand, influence, drive and negotiate with internal and external customers.
• Minimum of 5 years’ processing experience in the plastics packaging industry desired
• Experience with SPC is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of mold samplings & qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize the molding process to obtain dimensional limits at the designed cycle time or less.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding process.
• Attend new project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings as required.
