Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to manage mold sampling, qualification, and optimization for new and rebuilt tooling in our plastics packaging operations in the United States. You will collaborate with plant technical roles to support startups, validate processes, and drive improvements across tooling and processes.

The role requires a mechanical or electrical engineering background, strong communication skills, and at least five years of plastics processing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate with internal and external customers.
• Experience with processing and tooling in plastics packaging is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mold samplings and qualification services for new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet dimensional limits at target cycle times.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding.
• Lead training in machine operation, process control and tooling maintenance.
• Support plants with equipment, process, capability studies, and tooling qualifications.
