Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to manage all aspects of injection stretch blow mold sampling and validation for new and existing products. You will collaborate with plant technical roles to support startups, validate processes, and drive tooling improvements.

The role emphasizes documenting best practices, optimizing processes, and leading DOE and capability studies while coordinating with quality teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills are essential.
• Proven management and people skills to drive multiple resources.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Minimum 5 years of plastics processing experience is desired.
• Experience with SPC is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of mold sampling & qualification for new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet dimensional limits within designed cycle time.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas including machine processing and tool design changes.
• Support production to solve issues related to machine, process, tooling/design.
• Assist plants with equipment, process, capability studies and tooling qualifications.
