Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to lead injection stretch blow mold sampling, qualification, and validation across new and rebuilt tools. You will collaborate with plant technical teams to support startups, validate processes, and drive continuous improvement.

You will design experiments, develop master process sheets, and mentor operators while ensuring dimensional accuracy and product quality. Travel up to 75% may be required to support multiple plants nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to understand, influence, drive and negotiate with internal and external customers.
• Strong management, communication and people skills required to influence and manage multiple resources.
• Minimum of 5 years’ processing experience in the plastics packaging industry desired.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of mold samplings and qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize the molding process to meet dimensional limits at designed cycle time.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for defined injection or blow molding processes.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings as required.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas including machine processing and tool design changes.
• Provide Manufacturing Support to solve production issues related to machine, process, tooling or variations.
• Support plants with equipment, process, capability studies and tooling qualifications/validations.
• Perform tooling qualification approvals at vendor locations and maintain process data.
