Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an Infusion Guide—at our Plainview, NY center. The role focuses on referrals, authorizations, and patient-centered service in infusion therapy. Full-time with Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm schedule and strong growth potential.

Salary starts at $25/hr with quarterly bonuses based on metrics and full benefits. Training is provided to ensure success and autonomy in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required.
• Infusion experience preferred.
• Insurance prior authorization experience.
• Medical terminology experience.
• Overall medical insurance experience.
• Ability to quickly grasp new apps.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Strong patient-care focus and delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation.
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate patient status.
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Dedicated 6-week training plan to help you succeed in your role.
