Job summary

Local Infusion in Plainview, NY is hiring an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an Infusion Guide—to ensure patients receive the highest level of care in infusion therapy. Full-time, on-site, M-F 8:00am-4:30pm, salary starting at $25/hr with quarterly bonuses.

You will manage referrals, authorizations, financial counseling, and communication with providers and patients, while benefiting from a comprehensive benefits package and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Health care experience is required.
• Prior infusion experience is preferred.
• Insurance prior authorization experience is required.
• Medical terminology familiarity.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Ability to quickly grasp new apps.
• Overall medical insurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation.
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate status of patients.
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role.
