Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an “Infusion Guide”—to elevate infusion care. This full-time onsite role is based in New Haven, CT, with a schedule of M-F, 8:00am–4:30pm. Salary starts at $25/hr plus quarterly bonus and full benefits.

You will handle referrals, authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigations, liaise with providers, and support patients throughout the process, along with a 6-week training plan to ensure success.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare settings with infusion background preferred.
• Insurance prior authorizations experience.
• Excellent understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Handle infusion referral process including authorizations, financial counseling, and benefit investigations.
• Liaise with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate patient status.
• Explain referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric manner.
• Coordinate with referring/prescribing providers, ensuring timely information exchange.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Participate in a dedicated 6-week training plan to succeed in the role.
