Job summary

Local Infusion in Niskayuna, NY is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an Infusion Guide—dedicated to elevating infusion therapy care. You will manage referrals, authorizations, and patient communications to ensure top‑level service.

This full-time onsite role runs M-F, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will read medical charts, assist with insurance pre-authorizations, and train through a six‑week program while benefiting from full benefits and a quarterly bonus.

Qualifications

• Health Care Experience Required
• Prior Experience in Infusion is Preferred
• Insurance Prior Authorization Experience
• Medical Terminology Experience
• Overall Medical Insurance Experience
• Ability to quickly grasp new apps
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation necessary for treatment, and communicate status of their patients
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role
