Job summary

Local Infusion is hiring an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an “Infusion Guide”—to support referral and intake coordination with a patient-centered approach. The role centers on ensuring patients receive the highest level of infusion care, while communicating clearly with providers and families. The position is full-time and onsite at our Largo, FL center, with hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. Candidates should have experience with reading medical charts and insurance

Qualifications

• Experience reading medical charts and performing insurance pre-authorizations.
• Health care experience required.
• Prior infusion experience preferred.
• Insurance prior authorization experience.
• Medical terminology experience.
• Overall medical insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process, including authorizations and financial counseling.
• Liaise with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate patient status.
• Explain referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Maintain open communication with referring/prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Participate in a dedicated 6-week training plan.
