Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an "Infusion Guide"—to support growth through detailed referral and intake coordination with strong customer service. The role ensures patients receive the highest level of care in infusion therapy.

This full-time onsite position is based at our New Haven, CT center with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule. Prior experience reading medical charts and authorizations is ideal, with training to set you up for success.

Qualifications

• Health care experience is required.
• Prior experience in infusion is preferred.
• Insurance prior authorization experience.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Overall medical insurance experience.
• Ability to quickly grasp new apps.
• Familiarity with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process, including authorizations, financial counseling, and benefit investigation.
• Liaise with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate status of patients.
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Coordinate and communicate with referring/prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Participate in a dedicated six-week training plan.
