Job summary

Local Infusion is hiring an Insurance & Intake Coordinator — an “Infusion Guide” — to support growth through referral and intake coordination with excellent customer and physician service. The role ensures patients receive the highest level of care in infusion therapy, with a full-time onsite schedule in Asheville, NC, Mon-Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Salary starts at $25/hr plus a quarterly bonus based on metrics and full benefits; prior experience reading medical charts and insurance

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required.
• Prior infusion experience preferred.
• Insurance prior authorization experience.
• Medical terminology experience.
• Overall medical insurance experience.
• Ability to quickly grasp new apps.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation.
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate patient status.
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role.
