Job summary

Nippon Sanso MATHESON in Wixom, MI, is seeking a results-oriented Sales Representative to sell welding products to business and industrial customers at the showroom or on-site at customer locations. Responsibilities include generating leads, traveling the territory, demonstrating products, quoting prices, processing orders, training customers, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Welding Technology or related field required or preferred.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Compile prospective customer lists for sales leads from multiple sources.
• Travel throughout territory to call on customers or discuss by phone.
• Demonstrate products and emphasize salable features to customers.
• Quote prices, terms, and prepare sales contracts for orders.
• Estimate delivery dates and keep records of transactions and expenses.
• Collaborate with inside and route sales to update accounts and literature.
• Coordinate customer training and enter new data into the database.
• Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
• Resolve customer problems with welding processes and deliveries.
• Attend trade shows and perform inside sales when needed.
• Assist in inventories and help colleagues with welding questions.
• Assist in collecting outstanding balances and other duties.
