Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment across multiple locations. You will work on large-capacity washers, boilers, conveyors, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems, following blueprints and safety procedures.

This role requires reading schematics, using hand and power tools, performing Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space tasks, and traveling to sites as needed. A high school diploma or GED and 6 months of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred; English maintenance literature reading required.
• Lockout/Tagout experience preferred.
• Prior welding experience including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains industrial equipment and systems per blueprints and specs.
• Uses hand and power tools and testing devices; ensures safe operation of electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Travel to multiple company locations to perform maintenance tasks.
• Performs welding activities (MIG/TIG/ARC, cutting, brazing) as needed.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment and adheres to safety procedures.
