Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a diligent Equipment Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment at multiple locations. You will work with large capacity washers and dryers, boilers, conveyors, and pneumatic or hydraulic systems.

You will read blueprints, follow safety procedures, perform Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space tasks, and weld using MIG, TIG, ARC techniques as needed, while traveling between sites.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED required; valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience repairing industrial equipment in a production environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; English maintenance literature.
• Lockout/Tagout experience preferred.
• Prior welding experience: MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot industrial equipment and systems at multiple locations.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions.
• Travel to UniFirst locations as required.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper lockout/tagout procedures.
• Perform welding (MIG, TIG, ARC) and brazing as needed.
