Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install and troubleshoot industrial equipment across multiple locations, including washers, dryers, conveyors and boilers. You will perform maintenance following safety policies and engineering specs, and travel between company sites as required.

The role requires welding skills (MIG/TIG/ARC), reading blueprints, and adherence to Lockout/Tagout protocols, with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred.
• Lockout/Tagout experience preferred.
• Prior welding experience (MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, brazing) required.

Responsibilities

• Install and service machinery and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems following blueprints and manuals.
• Perform maintenance tasks in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
• Travel to multiple locations to perform maintenance tasks.
• Provide maintenance information to appropriate partners.
• Perform welding with MIG, TIG, ARC and brazing as needed.
