Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install and troubleshoot industrial equipment across multiple locations, including washers, dryers, conveyors, boilers, and pneumatic systems. You will follow blueprints and safety procedures to ensure safe operation and reliability.

The role requires reading schematics, using hand and power tools, and performing Lockout/Tagout and confined space procedures where appropriate.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 6 months’ work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Experience using hand & power tools.
Lockout/Tagout experience preferred.
Prior welding experience including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing.

Responsibilities

Installs and troubleshoots industrial equipment and systems per blueprints and specifications.
Performs maintenance safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows safety regulations (Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space as applicable).
Travel to multiple company locations to perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
Handles various welding activities (MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, brazing) as required.
