Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a capable Equipment Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot and service industrial equipment across multiple locations. You will work with large-capacity washers and dryers, pneumatic and steam systems, conveyors, and boilers, following blueprints and safety procedures.

The role requires reading schematics, using hand and power tools, welding (MIG/TIG/ARC), and performing Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 6 months’ work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English required.
• Experience using hand & power tools required.
• Lockout/Tagout experience is preferred.
• Prior welding experience including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing

Responsibilities

• Installs and troubleshoots industrial equipment, systems, and components following blueprints and specs.
• Uses hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices.
• Ensures safe operation of machinery and related systems per procedures.
• Performs travel to multiple company locations to perform maintenance.
• Performs welding activities (MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, brazing).
• Maintains safety standards and follows Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space procedures.
