Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a skilled equipment maintenance technician to install and troubleshoot industrial systems such as washers, dryers, conveyors, boilers, and pneumatic and hydraulic components. You will follow blueprints, schematics, and safety procedures to keep facilities running smoothly.

You will perform welding (MIG/TIG/ARC), use hand and power tools, read English maintenance literature, and travel to multiple company locations.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months’ work experience repairing industrial processing equipment.
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics required.
Lockout/Tagout experience preferred.
Prior welding experience (MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, brazing) preferred.

Responsibilities

Installs and troubleshoots industrial equipment and systems, including large washers, conveyors, boilers, and pneumatic/hydraulic components.
Uses hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing devices.
Ensures safe operation of machinery by following blueprints, schematics and manufacturer instructions.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment; follows safety procedures and regulations; performs Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space procedures as appropriate.
Travels to multiple company locations to perform maintenance and provide information to partners.
Performs welding activities (MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, brazing) and installs equipment per specifications.
Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
