Job summary

Bell and Howell is seeking a Field Customer Service Engineer to diagnose and repair a wide range of industrial robotic and printing equipment. You will handle electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software aspects, ensuring minimal downtime and high customer satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance, with travel across North America. Strong electronics and mechanical background, and ability to read procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• High school degree with 2-year electronics/advanced mechanics training or equivalent
• 1+ years related industry/equipment experience
• Strong electronics and mechanical background
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems
• Ability to use hand/tools and testing equipment including DMM and oscilloscope

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair industrial products including printing/packaging equipment and related systems
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance inspections
• Manage parts inventory and customer service calls
• Foster positive customer relations and effective communication
• Act as liaison between customer and company departments
• Provide on-call service up to 7 days/week for emergencies
