Job summary

Bell and Howell is seeking a Field Customer Service Engineer to service industrial, robotic and printing equipment across North America. You will diagnose electronic, mechanical, software and system failures, performing hands-on repair and maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires travel within the United States and Canada, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and strong communication to coordinate with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Strong electronics and mechanical background with knowledge of computer program functionality.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer relations.
• Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and problem solving.
• Able to read procedures and diagrams for assembly and testing.
• Punctual and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair a variety of industrial products including printing and packaging equipment and robotics.
• Schedule and perform regular predictive/preventive maintenance inspections.
• Provide support by managing parts inventory and customer service calls.
• Foster positive customer relations with effective proactive communication.
• Act as liaison between the customer and other departments/functions.
• May provide on‑call service up to 24/7 for emergencies; respond per response time goals.
