Job summary
Markent Personnel seeks a seasoned Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Specialist to drive sales of industrial fasteners to manufacturing, construction, solar, and related sectors. You will grow local Houston and Texas markets from our Houston Distribution Center while pursuing opportunities across the U.S.
with a solutions-focused, consultative selling approach and strong technical product knowledge.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive B2B sales experience selling industrial fasteners.
- Proven track record selling to manufacturing, construction, and solar sectors.
- Technical knowledge of fastener specs, materials, and applications.
- Strong CRM usage for pipeline management and forecasting.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; experience may substitute.
Responsibilities
- Strategic account development to expand the client base in local Houston and Texas markets.
- Cultivate long-term client relationships as the primary technical and sales contact.
- Conduct needs assessments and provide tailored fastener solutions.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to close complex sales cycles.
- Manage end-to-end order lifecycle and resolve fulfillment issues.
- Monitor market trends to identify new opportunities and inform strategy.
