Job summary

Granite seeks a civil/construction estimating professional to provide technical engineering and cost information, ensuring work complies with standards and contract requirements.

You will interpret drawings, support on-site teams, manage documentation, develop take-offs, and help minimize costs while maintaining safety and quality on complex projects.

This role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, a related Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency in MS Office and AGTEK Take-off tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Degree in a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and cost control processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and support project schedule.
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems to verify compliance with codes and specs.
• Prepare and disseminate documentation such as status reports, punch lists, and material calculations.
• Provide project material controls guidance to minimize additional costs.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates.
