Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a technical engineer/cost estimator to provide engineering and cost information, ensuring construction work meets all standards. You will interpret drawings and support on-site craft workers, coordinating with different departments to keep the project on track.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with strong MS Office skills and familiarity with take-off software.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with scheduling and take-off software is preferred.
• Ability to perform trigonometric calculations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret designs/drawings for craft workers to ensure specs are followed.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and support project schedule.
