Job summary

Granite is seeking a construction estimating support professional to help provide technical engineering and cost information for contract compliance and accurate bids. You will interpret drawings, prepare material take-offs, and support project controls to meet budgets and schedules.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years in estimating or related fields, proficiency with MS Office and AGTEK Take-off software, and a collaborative mindset to work with field teams and suppliers in Everett, WA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field (preferred).
• 0–2 years experience in construction estimating, engineering, or field support.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AGTEK Take-off software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
• Research and recommend resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interference, and errors.
• Prepare and disseminate records such as status reports, punch lists, sketches, material quantities and costs.
• Provide technical support on project material controls to minimize additional costs.
• Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates.
• Provide building control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and installation.
• Develop data including quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per hour, and equipment.
• Research historical data to compile reports and guidelines for future estimates.
• Maintain files backing up estimating figures for bid accuracy.
