Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking an Engineer II to provide technical engineering and cost information to ensure construction work meets applicable standards. You will support project controls, take-offs, and drawings interpretation on active jobs to help keep schedules and budgets on track.

Responsibilities include preparing drawings, assisting with quantity take-offs and estimates, and coordinating with on-site teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred or related field experience.
Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
2+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, or field support.

Responsibilities

Assist with job controls to ensure contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and support project schedule.
Prepare and disseminate documentation records (status reports, punch lists, sketches, material calculations).
Provide technical support regarding project material controls and timelines to minimize costs.
Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates.
