Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a skilled estimator to provide technical engineering and cost information to ensure construction work complies with engineering standards. This role supports bid preparations, job costing, and schedule alignment on major projects.

With 2+ years in estimating or related roles, you will interpret drawings, prepare quantity takeoffs, and assist in developing material and labor cost data. Strong MS Office skills and AGTEK Take-off are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
• 2+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AGTEK Take-off software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and support project schedule.
• Prepare and disseminate documentation records such as status reports and punch lists.
• Provide technical support and direction regarding project material controls to minimize additional costs.
