Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking an Industrial Construction Assistant Superintendent to support managing work flow per the project schedule, communicate priorities to field staff and subcontractors, and maintain daily site logs and punch lists to ensure timely closeout.

The role requires 2–5 years of commercial construction experience, a high school diploma (four-year degree preferred), and proficiency with project software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of commercial construction experience, including tenant renovations, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, and fast-paced projects.
• Project lead experience is a plus; ability to master sector/software tools such as Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• Ability to walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Formulate project schedule with the project manager and ensure proper methods and sequences are followed.
• Maintain complete daily documentation of work orders/tickets and understand subcontractor scope.
• Develop and organize the site team, arrange temporary facilities/utilities, and identify long-lead items to expedite.
• Maintain HITT quality standards and safe work practices with subcontractors.
