Job summary

HITT Contracting seeks an Industrial Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent to support scheduling, field coordination, and closeout activities on industrial projects in Falls Church, VA. You will help manage daily logs, coordinate with subcontractors, and uphold HITT safety standards to meet budget, quality, and schedule goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; four-year degree strongly preferred in construction, engineering, or business.
• 2–5 years’ experience in commercial construction, including tenant renovations and work in occupied spaces.
• Project lead experience is a plus.
• Ability to master project software systems (Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam).
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with project manager to formulate project schedule and ensure proper installation methods and sequences.
• Maintain HITT quality standards and relationships with subcontractors.
• Document daily work orders/tickets and understand subcontractor scopes to avoid changes.
• Organize site team, arrange for temporary facilities/utilities, and identify long‑lead items to expedite.
• Support safety inspections and ensure timely reporting of incidents.
