Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent - Industrial to direct on-site work flow, uphold safety and quality standards, and act as the primary site leader.

You will coordinate with the project team, manage subcontractors, and ensure the project schedule is followed while maintaining strong client relations. The role requires 5+ years in commercial construction, a four-year degree preferred, and proficiency with industry software.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
• 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
• Tenant renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, fast paced project experience all a plus
• Mastery of building processes and best practices
• Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines
• Project lead experience preferred; Previous experience in a superintendent or project lead role
• Ability to master sector software systems including Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred
• Ability to walk/stand long periods and lift up to 50lbs
• Must demonstrate a strong ability to adapt and lead under pressure

Responsibilities

• Understanding and administering the HITT safety program for all subcontractors and incidents.
• Maintain HITT quality standards for all aspects of the project.
• Lead on site safety and manage a safe jobsite.
• Maintain daily log of activities and site conditions, manage punch list and closeout.
• Collaborate with project manager to formulate schedule and ensure sequence of installation.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and ensure fair treatment.
• Ensure daily documentation of work orders and identify issues early.
• Develop and organize the site team and arrange temporary facilities/utilities.
• Collaborate with project manager and site operations throughout the project life
