Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent - Industrial to lead on-site activities, manage safety and quality, and ensure project progress aligns with the schedule. Qualifications

• Four-year degree preferred in construction, engineering or business.
• 5+ years of commercial construction experience, including general contractor work.
• Experience with tenant renovations, operating in occupied spaces, and fast-paced projects is a plus.
• Mastery of building processes and best practices.
• Ability to organize resources (people, tools, time) to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site safety program and enforce safety standards across all subcontractors.
• Maintain quality standards for all aspects of the project.
• Serve as the site leader, coordinating priorities and communication with the project team.
• Maintain daily activity logs and manage punch list/closeout with owner and architect acceptance.
• Collaborate with the project manager to formulate the schedule and ensure installation methods follow the plan.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors and vendors to foster fair treatment and opportunities.
• Ensure accurate daily documentation of work orders and subcontractor scopes to prevent change orders.
• Organize site team and arrange temporary facilities/utilities; identify long-lead items and expedite as needed.
• Collaborate with site operations and project management throughout the project lifecycle.
