Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent to support managing project workflow, communicate priorities to field staff and subcontractors, and maintain daily site documentation to ensure safety and quality.

Required: high school diploma, 2–5 years in commercial construction, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam. OSHA 30 preferred and strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• 4-year degree in construction, engineering, or business preferred
• 2–5 years’ experience in commercial construction, including tenant renovations and fast-paced projects
• Project lead experience a plus
• Ability to master software systems including Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, OSHA 30 preferred

Responsibilities

• Formulate project schedule with the project manager and ensure installation methods follow the plan
• Maintain HITT quality standards for all aspects of the project
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and ensure fair treatment
• Ensure complete daily documentation of work orders and identify problems early
• Develop and organize the site team and arrange temporary facilities and long-lead items
