Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across operations through data-driven CI, engineering and automation, delivering higher levels of safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.

You will leverage data analytics, lean tools, and engineering methods to identify root causes, implement solutions, and mentor teams across functions. This role interfaces with all levels and may supervise CI engineers and QA professionals, reporting to the CI Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 7+ years in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, SQL or DAX is preferred.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma and PDCA methods.
• Expertise with Warehouse Management Systems and CAD tools.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional CI projects.

Responsibilities

• Collects data, maps processes, and develops continuous improvement plans.
• Leads high-impact CI projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Coaches teams in Lean, QA, and CI principles.
• Supports start-ups, retrofits, and expansions with pricing inputs and go-lives.
• Produces regular progress reports and supports inventory/supply chain strategies.
