Job summary

Preferred Reports is seeking experienced Commercial Lines and Personal Lines loss control consultants to become approved vendors. Independent contractor role, you will perform interior and/or exterior risk inspections in your area, with no license required.

Reports are submitted via a cloud system and payments are made weekly upon order completion. You'll need your own equipment, reliable transportation, and be available for calls.

Qualifications

• One year experience completing interior/exterior residential loss control surveys and reports, plus 3–5 years in Commercial Loss Control assignments.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet hard due dates with minimum supervision
• Own a computer with Windows 10 and high-speed internet access.
• Be detail-oriented and well-organized with a flexible schedule
• Must have a reliable car to cover a wide territory as needed
• Must have a digital camera and internet with strong knowledge of Microsoft products, plus a measuring wheel or similar device.
• Must have a camera pole up to 12 ft and a measuring tool for P.L. work.

Responsibilities

• Set site inspection appointments with insured/agent via email and/or phone calls.
• Complete physical inspections of properties as required by the carrier.
• Take clear digital photos of properties.
• Identify and document hazards/controls at the property.
• Complete on-site management interviews regarding the property, as required.
• Upload reports/photos through a cloud-based system by the deadline.
• Become familiar with client-specific guidelines.
• Communicate with Preferred Reports, agents, and insureds.
• Provide high-quality and professional services.
