Job summary

Preferred Reports is seeking experienced Commercial & Personal Lines loss control inspectors to become approved vendors. You will conduct interior and/or exterior inspections in a wide territory as an independent contractor. This contract-based work is paid per inspection, with weekly payments after report submission.

No license is required, but a current resume and background check are required. Bi-lingual is a plus, and candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Preferably one year’s experience completing interior/exterior residential insurance loss control surveys and 3–5 years experience in commercial loss control assignments.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet hard due dates with minimum supervision.
• Own a computer with Microsoft Windows 10 operating system and high-speed internet access.
• Be detail oriented, well organized and have a flexible schedule.
• Possess a reliable car capable of covering a wide territory as needed.
• Have a digital camera, measure wheel or similar device; camera pole extending up to 12 ft and measuring tool for P.L. work.
• Have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Accurately provide the information requested in all forms within the order, including: Set site inspection appointments with insured/agent via email and/or phone calls.
• Complete physical inspections of properties as required by the carrier.
• Take clear digital photos of properties.
• Identify and document any hazards/controls found at the property.
• Complete on-site management interviews regarding the property as required.
• Upload report and photos through a cloud-based system by the specified deadline.
• Become familiar with client-specific guidelines.
• Communicate as needed with Preferred Reports, agents, and insureds.
• Provide high quality and professional services.
