Job summary

Preferred Reports is seeking experienced Commercial and Residential loss control consultants to conduct inspections as independent contractors. Contractors use their own equipment and travel within a wide territory to perform interviews, surveys, measurements, and hazard assessments.

Reports are submitted via a cloud system and payments are issued weekly upon order completion. Applicants should have 1 year of interior/exterior residential loss control survey experience and 3–5 years in

Qualifications

• Preferably 1 year experience in interior/exterior residential loss control surveys and 3–5 years in commercial loss control
• Ability to work quickly and meet hard due dates with minimum supervision
• Own a computer with Windows 10 and high-speed internet
• Be detail oriented and well organized with a flexible schedule
• Must have a reliable car covering a wide territory
• Must have a digital camera and a measure wheel or similar device
• Must have a camera pole up to 12 ft and a measuring tool for P.L. work

Responsibilities

• Set site inspection appointments with insured/agent via email or phone
• Complete physical inspections of properties as required by the carrier
• Take clear digital photos of properties
• Identify and document hazards/controls at the property
• Complete on-site management interviews regarding the property
• Upload reports/photos through cloud-based system by deadline
• Become familiar with client-specific guidelines
• Communicate with Preferred Reports, agents, and insureds
• Provide high-quality and professional services
