Job summary

Preferred Reports is seeking experienced inspectors to conduct interior and exterior loss control surveys for residential and commercial lines. As approved vendors, you will be contracted to perform inspections in your coverage area and report findings through a cloud-based system.

Vendors operate independently and are paid per inspection with weekly payments upon satisfactory completion. Background checks are required; bilingual is a plus. No licensing is required.

Qualifications

• Preferably one year’s experience completing interior/exterior residential insurance loss control surveys and 3‑5 years experience in commercial loss control assignments.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet hard due dates with minimum supervision.
• Own a computer with Microsoft Windows 10 operating system and high‑speed internet access.
• Be detail oriented, well organized and have a flexible schedule.
• Possess a reliable car capable of covering a wide territory as needed.
• Have a digital camera, measure wheel or similar device; camera pole extending up to 12 ft and measuring tool for P.L. work.
• Have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Set site inspection appointments with insured/agent via email and/or phone calls.
• Complete physical inspections of properties as required by the carrier.
• Take clear digital photos of properties.
• Identify and document any hazards/controls found at the property.
• Complete on‑site management interviews regarding the property as required.
• Upload report and photos through a cloud‑based system by the specified deadline.
• Become familiar with client‑specific guidelines.
• Communicate as needed with Preferred Reports, agents, and insureds.
• Provide high quality and professional services.
