Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Special Education Math Inclusion teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our community of teachers, learners, and leaders. This role serves students with moderate to severe cognitive delays, aligning with district goals for high achievement and equitable access to rigorous instruction.

You’ll collaborate with peers and staff, develop IEP goals, monitor progress, and provide accommodations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities for the appropriate grade level required.
• SEI Endorsement or ESL License required.
• Must meet all state/federal guidelines to be fully licensed.

Responsibilities

• Implement district learning goals aligned with state frameworks and identify access points for student portfolio development.
• Provide small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe cognitive delays.
• Write and implement IEP goals and provide timely progress reports.
• Provide accommodations for learning and testing; develop curriculum as needed and analyze student work for progress.
• Collaborate with staff to support modifications and transitions to adult living services as appropriate.
• Support transition planning and advocate for students’ needs within the school community.
