Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Special Education Math Inclusion teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our community of teachers, learners, and leaders. This role supports high expectations and closing achievement gaps in a diverse urban district.

The teacher reports to the Principal/Head of school and will implement district goals, design IEP-based objectives, and collaborate with staff to meet student needs and transitions to adulthood when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and MA teaching license in appropriate content area with Moderate Disabilities.
• SEI endorsement or ESL license is required.
• Fully licensed and Highly Qualified per state/federal guidelines.
• Authorization to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Implement district goals and align with state frameworks, identifying access points for portfolios.
• Provide small-group instruction to students with moderate to severe cognitive delays to support general curriculum progress.
• Write and implement IEP goals and provide regular progress reports.
• Provide accommodations for learning and testing; develop curriculum and MCAS Alternative prep when needed.
• Collaborate with school team to support other staff and respond to student needs for modification.
• Assist with transition to adult living services as appropriate.
