Job summary

Boston Public Schools East Boston High seeks an exceptional Special Education [Math] Inclusion teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our team. The role emphasizes high expectations, equity, and rigorous instruction for diverse learners in a Title I context.

The teacher will align with district goals, write and monitor IEPs, and collaborate with staff to support student growth and transition planning within the Boston Public Schools system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts licensure in Moderate Disabilities required.
• ESL license or SEI endorsement required.
• Must meet all state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed.
• Authorization to work in the United States by start date.
• Preferred: Degree in Special Education.

Responsibilities

• Implement district goals aligned with state frameworks and develop portfolio access.
• Provide small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe cognitive delays in the general curriculum.
• Create and monitor IEP goals and report progress regularly.
• Provide accommodations for learning and testing; develop curriculum as needed and prepare for MCAS Alternatives.
• Collaborate with staff to support student needs and modifications.
• Assist with transition planning to adult living services when appropriate.
