Job summary

Boston Public Schools Curley K-8 is seeking a dedicated Special Education teacher for Math and Moderate Disabilities/Inclusion in grades 7–8, with an SEI endorsement. You will implement district goals, provide targeted instruction in small groups, and develop IEP goals with regular progress reporting, ensuring accommodations and curriculum alignment.

The role requires a Massachusetts license in the appropriate content area and Moderate Disabilities, SEI/ESL endorsement, and authorization to work

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
MA Teaching License in the appropriate content area and Moderate Disabilities for the appropriate grade level.
SEI Endorsement or ESL License required.
Must meet state/federal guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
Authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Implement district learning goals aligned with state frameworks and identify access points for portfolio development.
Provide small-group instruction to students with moderate to severe cognitive delays to support progress in the general curriculum.
Write and implement IEP goals and provide regular progress reports on student development.
Provide accommodations for learning and testing; develop curriculum and analyze student work for MCAS Alternative Assessment preparation.
Collaborate with school staff to respond to student needs for modification and support transitions to adult living services as appropriate.
